Waikato 50 Water Treatment Plant
Client: Fletcher Construction (for Watercare) Location: TuakauProject dates: October 2020 – October 2021This project is for the rapid construction of the new water treatment plant near Tuakau, supplying an extra 50M LPD of water to Auckland. APS was contracted to install the process water lines beneath the WTP slab, with concrete pipes ranging from 300dia to 900dia, 450-150 uPVC and a range of PE lines from 450 – 180 OD. The project was fast paced with construction issues prior to them eventuating. APS worked together with Fletchers / Brian Perry Civil to identify and solve these issues, resulting in compliance with a very tight programme. The water will be delivered into Auckland from June 2021. The second stage of the contract was to install the stormwater lines and outfall for the new chemical building. In addition, a new combined services culvert was designed, with construction commencing in May 2021. The culver is 1500x1500 with a removable lid to sit flush with the finished surface. This requires very fine tolerances on line level and grade (+/- 5mm) at finished level to ensure a safe walkway/carriageway. The culvert will eventually house all the services connecting the new chemical building to the existing WWTP. 
Dunkirk Pump Station
Client: Fulton Hogan Location: Dunkirk Watercare Wastewater Pumpstation upgradeProject dates: November 2022 – August 2023 APS stripped and prepped the site for works to commence, these works involved removal of asbestos contamination, environmental controls, service relocation and cut overs. Once the sheet pilling of the tank chamber was complete the team had a 13tonne excavator inside to start the 6m deep excavation. This was done in stages allowing the whaler frames to be welded in as we got further down to our required RL. We stayed involved in the project until the fiberglass tanks were backfilled & had a crew on the trench backfill to keep the head drainage team moving forward with the mainline up the road.
Hynds Factory Pokeno
Client: Hynds Pipe Systems Location: PokenoProject dates: March 2021 – July 2022The works involved detailed excavations and siteworks for the new floor slabs as part of the factory upgrades in Pokeno. Detailed pavement construction, footings and slab prep to +0 – 10mm across large floor areas were required.
Redoubt Road Reservoir Upgrade
Client: Fulton Hogan (for WaterCare) Location: Manukau, AucklandProject dates: February 2021 – June 2022Installation of new stormwater lines within the reservoir site as part of the water supply upgrade for Auckland. Up to 80% of potable water for South Auckland passes through this site. APS works on this site ranged from 675 Concrete pipes up to 3.5-4m in depth right down 225 PVC downpipe connections. We assisted Marchcato with the backfill on the 2m CLS watermain & valve chambers. Lined and topsoiled the main SW catchment pond. Cut in the SW outlet into an existing cast insitu chamber which involved using a wire saw to cut the existing concrete dropper off the face of the chamber, this allowing us to tie into the bottom at 5.5-6m deep. We got MCE involved and worked alongside them to drill an outlet line for a SW collector main underneath the LIVE 2m watermain and building the 3m deep manhole inside the chamber before the sheets were removed.
